MDPE50 High-Output Pellet Extrusion System
FB00914
The MDPE50 is our highest-output pellet extrusion system, engineered for large-format additive manufacturing, robotic 3D printing, and industrial production applications. With material output rates up to 61 lbs/hr (28 kg/hr), the MDPE50 enables faster print times, larger bead widths, and high deposition rates for large parts, tooling, molds, and manufacturing aids.
Built for demanding production environments, the MDPE50 is designed to process both filled and unfilled thermoplastic pellets, including carbon fiber-filled, glass fiber-filled, and mineral-filled materials. This makes it well suited for composite tooling, aerospace and automotive applications, foundry patterns, large molds, and other high-performance industrial uses.
At the core of the MDPE50 is a 24:1 L/D screw and barrel system designed to efficiently melt, pressurize, and deliver material at high flow rates. The extended processing length helps promote consistent melt quality, stable extrusion, and reliable deposition during long-duration print jobs.
To support abrasive materials and extended production use, the MDPE50 comes standard with a nitrided screw and barrel. This hardened wear surface improves durability, extends component life, and helps maintain consistent performance when processing reinforced or filled materials.
The MDPE50 is also designed with serviceability in mind. The screw is removable, allowing direct access to the screw flights and barrel for cleaning, maintenance, and material changeovers. This reduces downtime and helps keep production moving.
With barrel temperatures up to 425°C, compatibility with a wide range of engineering-grade thermoplastics, and the throughput required for large-scale production, the MDPE50 delivers the power, durability, and flexibility needed for industrial additive manufacturing.
